Data Center Technician

Data Center Technician We are hiring 3 data center techs to start in December in Lenoir NC, this contract can be renewed for long term There is no longer a COVID vaccination requirement - All applicants applying will be required to submit to a background and drug screen.
Data Center Technician under the guidance of the Lead Technician, Supervisor and Project Manager will manage all phases of Datacenter installation Projects.
Technician must be able to think strategically and demonstrate Leadership.
Technicians and Lead Technician will assume total ownership from the receipt of completed engineering work package to delivery of project completion and final documentation.
Lead Technician must exhibit the ability to provide great customer service and deliver projects according to the customer's expectations.
Technician must be detail oriented, analytical.
Process and compliance focused Ability to work independent of direct supervision; self-starting; Team Player.
Good organizational, written, and verbal skills (meticulous regarding documentation).
Excellent people skills, customer oriented, willingness to help others.
Positive and Proactive approach Willingness to travel.
Strong work ethic and ability to have flexible work schedule.
Technician must demonstrate good customer skills.
Technician has total responsibility for the job layout and plan of execution.
Technician must stay current with the latest technologies and installation procedures.
Technician must have a full understanding of the scope of work.
Technician must have the ability to understand and accurately complete all paperwork required of assigned project.
Technician must be able to run small, medium, and large projects when required.
Technician must be fully competent of the standard for quality installation craftsmanship and customer service excellence.
Technician must be fully competent at installation and termination of various copper and fiber products in accordance with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI standards.
The starting rate range is $22-25 per hour W2 with benefits, PTO and Holiday Pay - Candidates must be willing to be onsite during the core hours of 7am-4pm The conversion salary is $45,000 - $52,000 Main Duties/Required Skills:
Technician must be fully capable of interpreting test results from fiber and copper testers and successfully troubleshooting and properly repairing the fiber or copper cable plant to ultimately ensure a correct and valid test 1
years of data center experience preferable with Cable and Fiber Education:
High School Diploma or GED requir ed OSHA 10 general certification will be required within 1 week of start date (online completion) Aerial Lift Background and drug screen BICSI and industry Certifications are preferred Knowledge of fiber terms and troubleshooting is needed.
Ability to drive company vehicle throughout the day.
This position requires a background check and driver's license check.
Ability to lift various items is required, as well to stand for long periods of time and climb ladders.
